Partner

With over 20 years’ experience in the property industry, Nick has had a hand in the development and redevelopment of some of London’s best known buildings and has one of the best track records at recognising latent property value in the industry today. His career has covered spells at Allsop and Cushman & Wakefield before he moved onto the Principal side of property with Rock Investments in 2005, and set up his first own property vehicle in the guise of Fox Cavendish in 2009. Nick has built up a wealth of experience and understanding of both residential and commercial property usage that delivers the best return on investment. Nick has a passion for property history, often pointing out obscure historical landmarks to anyone who will listen. Outside of work he can be found on the golf course or renovating his farmhouse.

James Thompson
Partner

James started in Property in 2000, and has put over 3000 residential units through planning, not to mention thousands of sq ft of commercial premises. James is an expert in obtaining planning on complicated sites and has been responsible for the redevelopment of numerous properties throughout London, the South East & the South West. Some of his most notable achievements include the redevelopment of Bath Western Riverside, a former gas works in the heart of a World Heritage City, and the planning consent on Wyvil Road in Vauxhall London SW8 for a 37 storey 250,000 sq ft Tower in the heart of London. Having spent 9 years helping to build up a £400m porfolio at Rock, he set up his first own property vehicle in 2009 with the formation of K2 Property, followed by Northport in 2013. In a career spanning 15 years James has developed a sharp eye for, and excellent track record in, acquiring opportunities where value can be added through change-of-use, planning or active management. When not spotting new opportunities for Northport, James will be found at home messing about with his young family.

Alex Horn


Alex joined the team at Northport in 2015. Having previously worked in a number of careers, he settled on Property as his chosen path in 2013 and started working in an agency-led business through which he met and started introducing deals to the team at Northport. He is incredibly ambitious with a keen eye for a deal, and through his growing network of contacts is in the front line for identifying new opportunities for the Northport Portfolio.

Lauren joined the team at Northport in 2016 where she took on the responsibilities of the day to day management of the office. She has quickly become an invaluable asset to the the business as Northport seeks to build the portfolio.
