Being privately owned allows us a flexible and entrepreneurial approach to all projects we consider and are not limited in terms of how we can structure deals. We have formed Joint Ventures with Landowners and Public bodies alike, acquired assets both unconditionally, conditionally and using complex corporate structures.

Leadership Team
Nick Fox
Nick has had a career that has spanned 30+ years and has been both client side and principal side at some of the biggest companies in the industry, before setting up Fox Cavendish in 2009 and then forming Northport with James in 2013. Nick’s reputation, experience and knowledge is unparalleled, and he is very much the foundations on which the company has grown and continues to grow. His focus remains more on the commercial side of the industry and growing our own income producing portfolio to sit alongside the development led sites.
James Thompson
Having spent 9 years helping to build up a £400m portfolio at Rock. James set up his own property vehicle in 2009 with the formation of K2 Property, followed by Northport in 2013. In a career spanning over 20 years James has developed a strong instinct for value-add opportunities, be it through break up, active management or planning and has achieved a consent for more than 3,000 residential units and over 1m sqft of commercial.
Alex Horn
Alex Joined Northport in 2015 and very quickly established himself as integral to the team. Alex has a brilliant understanding of all sectors of the market. He is exceptional at spotting value and working out the marriage between, best value for the potential seller but creating value for our business. He grasped very quickly the need for correct structure for different types of deal and this remains one of his strengths. Alex became a partner in the business in 2022 and is key to driving the business forward.
